As outlined by Nottinghamshire County Council the children start in our nursery in the term after their third birthday. They come to us often having attended Radcliffe Playgroup or private day nurseries. The children enter school at one single point of entry in the September of that year. The transition from nursery into school and from Foundation Stage Two to Key Stage One is both calm and positive due to strong links between key stages and well established procedures.
Moving on to the Junior School
We have an effective transition programme set in place. The Junior School staff work in the Infant School prior to transition and a number of pupil visits are arranged to the Junior School. Every child’s needs are taken into consideration to make this a positive experience for all.
