Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery school was built in the 1950s and currently has 5 classrooms, a Foundation Stage 2 Unit plus a purpose built Nursery.
The Nursery has a lovely outside play area, which the children use on a daily basis, regardless of the weather! It offers our children an exciting and colourful extension to their indoor facilities and numerous outdoor learning opportunities. The Nursery has just had a “facelift” over the summer and has lots of lovely new equipment provided by our RAINS team to enhance the children’s learning.
The main school building consists of 5 Key Stage 1 classrooms and a 90 place Foundation Stage 2 unit. It is a clasp building, which is well maintained and the Key Stage 1 classrooms have recently been refurbished.
Our outside play area includes a playground, which has a trim trail, climbing frame, basketball nets, a pirate ship and a willow dome. There are also places where children can sit and talk.
We also have a small wildlife garden attached to our Foundation Stage 2 unit, which is used for a wide range of outdoor learning activities. We have a school allotment area, which contains a series of raised beds where the children are busy all year round growing produce and lots of fruit trees, which the children planted and look after in gardening club.
The interior of our school is cheerful and vibrant and will give you some excellent examples of the range of activities the children experience on a daily basis.
