Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School
Sports Premium Statement
The Government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding has been provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools. Each school receives £8000 with an additional £5 for every eligible pupil. At Radcliffe we estimate that we will receive just over £8700 to support and improve our PE and sports provision.
Please follow the link below to see how we intend to spend the Sport Premium money in 2017-2018 and how it has been spent previously.
We recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of our children and we therefore aim to provide an innovative and varied PE curriculum that will have a positive influence on their concentration, attitude and academic achievement. It is also recognised that every child needs to benefit from the funding regardless of their sporting ability.
We aim to ensure that this funding is used effectively and that it enables us to continue to deliver quality PE beyond the funding lifespan.
