At Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School, our Pupil Council is made up of 2 representatives from each Key Stage 1 class. The children had to nominate themselves, do a short presentation to their classmates about why they would make a good pupil council representative, and then their class mates voted on who they wanted to represent their class.
The Pupil Council meets once a fortnight to discuss and take action on a range of issues relevant to our school, including playtimes and lunchtimes, behaviour, playground redevelopment and our school website. The children also share ideas and suggestions for the organisation of fundraising events.
We are very proud of them and are sure they will be a fantastic committee!
This year, our Pupil Council members have been discussing our Rainbow Rules and helped us to improve them.
