Learn, Grow, Achieve Together

School Clubs

Choir

Our Infant school Choir is run by Mrs White and Mrs Forster. It’s for any child in Year 1 or 2 who loves singing! We meet every Friday lunchtime and have lots of performances throughout the year both in school and in the village. This is such a popular club and everyone is welcome.

Recorder Club

Recorder Club by Rattle and Roll is open to all our children in Years 1 & 2. The Club runs at lunchtimes on Mondays and Wednesdays. The children learn how to play the recorder; how to read music and music theory too. Once they have learnt the basics they then learn to play songs they all recognise like Star Wars; Hedwigs Theme from Harry Potter or pop songs. It’s a great introduction to music for the children. If you would like to find out more or would like your child to join please contact Rattle and Roll at rattleandrolllhq@yahoo.com

On The Stage after-school Club

This after-school club by Rattle and Roll is a combination of music, dance and drama and is open to all our children in Years 1 & 2. The Club runs on Mondays 330-5pm. The Club is designed to boost confidence as well as introduce and practice performance skills. There are opportunities to work in groups and perform solos and all the children have an equal part so that every child is the star of the show.  If you would like to find out more or would like your child to join please contact Rattle and Roll at rattleandrolllhq@yahoo.com

French Lessons

La Jolie Ronde             French for Children

Since 1983 La Jolie Ronde Languages for Children has been offering children the opportunity to excel and enjoy a fun and positive approach to language learning through their award winning programmes, giving them added confidence for when they approach languages at Secondary school.

Their Programmes are centered around methodology which is based on real communication situations and everyday realities of the country and its culture. Available to learn in French or Spanish, each weekly lesson combines fun with exciting games, songs and activities and children progress through 4 programmes over a 6 year period.   Over time will begin to read & write independently, experience language learning techniques and will become accustomed to listening.

Learning a second language offers a lifetime of opportunities and possibilities therefore we believe it is essential, if a child is to embrace languages, that any language experience becomes an enjoyable part of their life. La Jolie Ronde’s mission is to encourage children to become skilled, confident & enthusiastic language learners, with the opportunity to have their learning recognised and in turn provide them with a skill for life.

My name is Jacqueline Arkley, I am French and I have been teaching French for La Jolie Ronde for more than 20 years now.

I run 2 classes on Thursday in Radcliffe Infants and Nursery school from 3.00 to 4.10 pm.
