WELCOME!
We would like to wish you all a very warm (if virtual) welcome to Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School.
Choosing the right school for your child is a really important decision.
Usually at this time of year we welcome prospective families to our school and give you the opportunity to visit our school during a typical school day, so you can see first-hand what we at Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School can offer your child, as they embark on their school learning journey.
This year we need to do things differently to ensure that we keep everyone safe. We have some different options for you so that you can still discover what Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School has to offer.
Please find below some frequently asked questions you may find useful.
As we are unable to offer visits into school this year we have filmed a brand new school tour so you can get a flavour of our classrooms and shared school spaces.

Also, rest assured that we have a robust transition in place so children will have plenty of opportunities to get to know our school before they start school.
For the children who joined our school this year in September 2020 we put a creative virtual transition plan in place for children new to Nursery or Reception.

As visits into school were not possible, we launched a brand new virtual “Stories, songs and rhymes” project with a series of weekly songs and rhymes sessions for children to join in with at home and we even had a virtual Teddy Bears picnic! Children and parents joined us for these sessions virtually before starting school this year. The sessions gave children the chance to regularly see the Early Years Team and become familiar with school before they started, as well as having some fun along the way.
