Welcome to Bumblebee class and the start of a wonderful year together.
We have been very busy over the summer trying to get our class ready for the children to explore and familiarise themselves with this week.
Here are some photographs that you can share with your child to show them what the class looks like inside and outside.
You will also see on the first photo where you will need to line up with your child along the fence for drop off and pick up times. Please make sure you only arrive on site at your given time as we are trying to minimise the number of people on site at any one time and just a reminder to use the entrance and exit at the top of Eastwood Road.
We have a lovely, busy first half term ahead where we will be getting to know your child and learning how to work together as a team.
In school for the first 2 weeks of term, we will be carrying out our initial baseline assessments and helping the children to settle into school and begin to make new friends. Alongside this, all our learning will be centred around our class animal and we have lots of fun activities planned to make a whole school totem pole with all our animals on it! We will then begin our first topic "Why am I special ?"
After the first couple of weeks we will send home a reading book for your child. This will be changed once a week on your child's "Reading day". Further details to follow.
We are really looking forward to seeing everyone in their new school uniforms and shiny shoes!
See you all on Thursday!

First week at school!
We have had a wonderful first few days at school this week. We were so proud of how well the children came into school and started to make new friends. There were big smiles all round!
We have been Busy Bees!
We have had such a busy first week in Bumblebee class. We have done lots of singing, playing, making new friends, writing our names, making bumblebees and even done our first fire practice!
We are ready for a rest this weekend now!
We have had such a busy day today finding out all about Mental Health. We have talked about staying positive, being kind to one another and being a team. We have had so many fun things to explore and do today. Have a look!
Children in Need
We had a great time finding out about why we were raising money for Children in Need today. We all came in non uniform, talked about how we could help and had a day of fun activities.
