Visit from the Wildlife Trust
We have had a brilliant time today with Sarah from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. We have been in the school grounds looking for signs of Autumn.
We had to use mirrors to look up in the trees, we made clay hedgehogs, went on a colour hunt and made leaf mobiles.
We think Autumn is fantastic!
What a great start we have had to this term with the children settling well into their new class.
We have made lots of new friends and have been getting to know where everything is. Next week we will be going over into the school hall to do some yoga and P.E but we will only be taking off our shoes and socks for for the first few weeks. We will be adding photographs over the next few weeks so that you can see what we've been up to .
Welcome to Ladybird class.
We have a busy first half term ahead where we will be getting to know you and introducing our new topic "Me, myself and I".
Just a reminder, make sure you send your child into school with their "discovery bags", as we will be discussing these in circle times with the rest of the class.
Our F2 newsletter in September will have lots of information about the upcoming term.
One date for your diary already is our Harvest Festival celebration at St Mary's church on Monday 7th Oct in the afternoon.
We are really looking forward to seeing everyone in their new school uniforms and shiny shoes!
Have a wonderful summer.
See you all in September.
