Monday Update 1/6/20
Hello everybody, we hope you are all keeping well and found lots of fun things to do over the half term holiday. This week we are starting our new topic all about animals. Every week we look at different groups of animals. To begin with we are looking at farm animals but particularly animals and their young. There are lots of activities on the children’s home learning page including some shared colouring puzzles and a power point to watch. There are also a few new tasks for you on Purple Mash. All the teachers are enjoying looking at your work. There’s also a new special message on our Pet’s Corner.
We hope you are outside every day enjoying the sunshine and continue to have a go at the scavenger hunts.
See you soon

Monday Update 11/5/20
Hello to all our little F2’s,
Thank you so much for all of your emails and the amazing photos you’ve been sending us. We’ve had so many!
It’s brilliant to see how much you’re doing at home and all the new skills you’ve been learning while you’re not at school. We’re so proud of you all.
If you haven’t sent us an email yet, please do get in touch this week so we can make sure everyone’s OK during this difficult time and if you had a special street party for VE day last Friday, it would be lovely to see how you celebrated.
This week we are thinking about plants, flowers and growing. You might want to watch “The Tiny seed” or “Jaspers Beanstalk” on You tube to start you off! Then there are lots of growing activities for you to do. There’s even a plant hunt for you to do on your daily walk!
We would love for you to explore some fruits and vegetable with your grown- ups and look at the different colours, shapes and sizes of the seeds. You could even plant some seeds using the growing video clip on this page. Let us know how you get on!
Don't forget to have a look at Purple Mash too as there are 3 new 2Do's for you on there.
Have a great week. We miss you lots!
Mrs White, Mrs Jones, Miss Carter, Mrs Elliott and Mrs Smith
This week, the theme for the activities is Orienteering! You do not have to do the activities in the suggested order or in fact do them all, if you really enjoy one day there is nothing stopping you doing that activity every day! Miss Davies will be joining in with each day’s activities this week so be on the look out for her videos! Who is going to join Miss Davies in learning some new skills and keeping active?
There will be a virtual competition each Friday, details of how to enter are shown on the schedule page and on the Friday activity card on the leaflet attached below. The competition will be run at district and county level. There will be prizes for schools with the highest percentage of entries based on pupils on roll, certificates for all entrants and a prize draw after the last week for those who have entered 100% of the virtual competitions. Please make sure that all activities are carried out safely!
Don't forget to send photos to the year group emails so we can see what exciting things you get up to!! Have fun!!
Monday Update 4/5/20
We hope you are all keeping well. This week there are lots of lovely things to do from the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. You can read the story first using the power point and then have a go at some of the activities. We hope you enjoy doing them.
Make sure you spend lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful sunshine too. Jack and the Beanstalk is a good story for playing outside. Can you remember the story in order and act it out? Make sure you run away fast from the giant!
Also this week, there is a special celebration day on Friday to mark the 75th anniversary of VE day (Victory in Europe) when it was the end of World War 2. Some streets in Radcliffe are having special Street parties on Friday and there might even be some dancing and singing of some old War time songs. There are some activities below to help you plan your party!
P.S. Look out for a new doggy message on parents/ home learning/ F2!

Monday update- 20/4/20
Hope you are all okay and had a lovely Easter with your family and hopefully lots of chocolate treats.
This half term, we are continuing with traditional tales but also incorporating lots of growing activities too!
This week, we would like you to learn about ginger and The Gingerbread Man. Watch the powerpoint story and then make your own gingerbread people using the recipe. If you want to draw or write about how you made them, that would be fab! You could even find out about ginger and how it’s grown.
There is an activity on Purple Mash where you can decorate a gingerbread man in lots of different ways. We love looking at what you’ve been up to, so remember to save and upload your best piece of work.
Also, in maths, have a go at doubling numbers. This is where you add the same number again. Get a grown up to show you using raisins or chocolate buttons. Then try by yourself using the Gingerbread Men doubles worksheet.
We would love to know what you have been doing over Easter and what you have been reading. You can send us photos or even write us a little email! Ouremail address is firstname.lastname@example.org
Enjoy the sunshine and we hope to see and hear from you soon!
Mrs White, Mrs Jones, Mrs Elliott, Miss Carter and Mrs Smith.
We hope you all have a very lovely Easter break.
Here are some activities you might like to try over the Easter holidays.
We hope that you have had a good first week of 'Virtual learning' at home and have managed to do lots of indoor and outdoor learning in the lovely sunshine!
We’ve already heard from a few of you about how you’ve been getting on at home and have seen some of the great work you’ve done on Purple Mash too. We will put some pieces on the “displayboard” on Purple Mash so you can see what other children have been doing too.
We hope you’re enjoying our “Pets corner!” on the parent’s home learning page…Look out for a new video!
Just to emphasise, the “Home Learning” is just a suggestion of what you could do at home. Clearly, we are aware that these are exceptional circumstances for us all, and we would not want anyone to feel under any pressure to complete everything each week!
If there are any questions about any of the 'home learning' tasks or you would like to show us some work that you are proud of then this can be sent to the F2 email address (email@example.com) where one of the F2 teachers will be able to view your work or answer any queries.
We look forward to seeing what you have all been keeping busy with!
From the F2 Team (Mrs White, Mrs Jones, Mrs Elliott, Miss Carter and Mrs Smith)
