The First Nativity
We were very excited to perform our nativity for our parents/ carers on the stage in the big hall. We have been very busy practicing our songs and our acting skills ready for our performances and on the day ...we were AMAZING!
Well done to all our Caterpillars for being so brave and trying their very best. We were so proud of you all.
Merry Christmas everyone.
We hope you have a relaxing and lovely time over the festive break.
The Old Barn at Field Farm Nursery Trip.
We have had the best day at The Old Barn on our first ever Nursery trip off site. We had a great day finding things hidden all around the farm to make scary dragons and we even had to walk through the muddy fields to pick our own brussel sprouts to make sprout caterpillars!
Back at the Old Barn we had a surprise...Fairies had been and left a special fairy wand in the trees for all of the children to find and to decorate!
We had such a busy morning and even had a little treat of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows and a special sparkly biscuit.
We really did have the best trip ever!
Thank you to Helen from all the boys and girls in Caterpillar Nursery for a magical time and thank you to the parents who helped out on our first trip.
Children in Need
We had a fantastic day raising awareness and money for Children in Need. We went to the RAINS cake sale and had some squash and a cake or biscuit. We were even lucky enough to have a visit from Pudsey Bear into school which was very exciting!
All the children in Caterpillar Nursery found out about why we have this special day every year. We worked together to make a wreath to honor the soldiers who fought and died in the war.
The children in Caterpillar Nursery have had a great time finding out about Diwali. Our Nursery was full of exciting things to do such as making diva lamps, making Diwali cards, learning about Rama and Sita and we also tried some Indian foods.
Caterpillar Nursery Stay and Play!
We really enjoyed welcoming our parents and carers to our stay and play session today. We hope everyone had lots of fun with us and enjoyed spending some time with the children in our fabulous Nursery setting.
"Hello Yellow"...World Mental Health Awareness day
We had a day full of positivity, fun, laughter, dancing, singing, yoga, playing and exploring to help celebrate World Mental Health Awareness day. All the children looked great in their yellow clothes and Nursery turned yellow for the day too!
Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust visit
The children were so lucky to have a visit to Caterpillar Nursery from the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. We had a great time exploring the school grounds looking for Autumn colours, finding out about animal habitats and making some leaf mobiles.
Harvest Festival fun!
Thank you so much to all the parents and carers that came to our Nursery Harvest festival this morning. We were so proud of all the children and were thrilled you got to hear the beautiful singing and see the work they have created over the last few weeks.
Our first half term in Nursery
We have had such a busy first half term in Caterpillar Nursery. The children have settled in beautifully and have made some lovely new friendships. We are so proud of our little Caterpillars and hope to see them continue to grow into beautiful butterflies ready to fly by the end of the year.
