What have our 'Creative Caterpillars' been up to?
It has been lovely to see our returning caterpillars and welcoming lots of new faces this week. A big hello to you all. We have lots of exciting activities planned for this half term and our topic All About Me will let your teachers get to know all about you and your families.
You will be busy getting to know the nursery routines, exploring your new nursery indoors and out.
We will be spending the first couple of weeks really getting to know the children, developing our cooperation skills and working together to understand how we can all stay healthy and as safe as possible while in Nursery.

We are so proud!
We are so proud of our little Caterpillars. They have been so amazing and settled so well.
Look at some of our wonderful fun activities we've been doing at Nursery.
Hello Yellow Day
Lots of fun activities to help us relax!
Today was such fun as we had a visit from Frank the sausage dog. We listened to a story about Frank and were able to pat him and say hello.
Stay and play.
Lovely to welcome our families once again into nursery.
Strictly came to school.
What fun we had meeting Robyn and Miss Cheryl. They taught us a new dance.
It was a 10 for all of us!
Children In Need.
We had so much fun raising lots of money for children in need.
The children have enjoyed creating lots of wonderful things for Christmas time. We have made food for the reindeer, Santa hats, baubles for the tree and even made Christmas popcorn.
It was lovely to welcome our parents into school to watch our nursery nativity. The children were truly amazing and sang their hearts out.
We even welcomed a cheeky elf into nursery!
Chinese New Year 2022.
We have been busy celebrating Chinese New Year. We have found out it is the year of the tiger and that we were born in the year of the dog or the rooster. Our activities included using chopsticks to pick up noodles, having a go at Chinese numbers and making our own dragon!
Mental Health Week.
Lots of lovely activities this week to celebrate our mental well-being. We have been learning all about the mood monsters, reading lots of stories and enjoying lots of circle times.
We have designed our own mood monsters and displayed them in our calm zone.
Something we really enjoyed was our happy bowl where the children posted a happy thought from home. We spoke about these and displayed them on our happy wall.
We finished the week by planting a daffodil bulb for us to take home care for-and enjoy it’s happy yellow colour when it blooms.
Summer 1. Growing
We have been busy planting lots of lovely vegetables 🥕 in Caterpillar Nursery. Our story this week is Supertato and his vegetable friends. Evil pea has been hiding in our nursery and we have been busy looking for him. Do you like our potato super heroes?
