This week our ice-cream parlour has officially opened . Ice creams of any flavour not to mention the sponge chips . The children have designed their own lolly pops and look very yummy indeed !
We are also asking if anybody is visiting the seaside if they would bring us back a postcard so we can look on our map to see where the card has come from .
Today in nursery we have been doing some exciting science experiments with our Year 2 friends.
We have made magic potions and watched them fizz and then created beautiful colour wheels too.
We continue to have lots of fun in Caterpillars and do lots of exciting things. This term we have welcomed some new afternoon children who have settled really well and some children are staying all day , having a hot lunch with their friends .
Our topic is Traditional Tales .... a great one as all children whatever age have a common experience of stories . So far we have made Goldilock's porridge , iced bears biscuits , made bread for the Little Red Hen , and painted beautiful Goldilocks portraits . Next week we are building houses for the 3 Little Pigs inside and out !
Watch this space for details of our Stay and Play sessions after half term.
