Welcome to Fox Class.
Welcome back after half term, we hope you had a fantastic week off. Our topic for this half term is all about "What makes a Terrific Tale?". This is a story, music and art focused topic and to launch it we are going on a visit to Whisby Nature Reserve on Tuesday 3rd March. Whilst there we will be taking part in lots of exciting activities such as den building, making fairy houses and searching for insects.
We will also be busy in school this half term celebrating events such as World Book Day and Sports Relief. We will be visiting the library the week beginning 2nd March to have a music and story session, which we are really looking forward to.
Alongside our topic we will also be completing daily phonics and number sessions. In English sessions we will be focusing on writing sentences, remembering finger spaces, full stops and capital letters. We will then be using these skills to write stories with characters, settings, problems and solutions. The children will continue to read everyday in phonics and once a week with their class teacher. In number we will be looking at working with numbers within 50 to solve addition and subtraction problems and will begin to look at measures.
If you have any questions or concerns then please do not hesitate to contact us.
