Hello and welcome to Owl Class!
I can't believe another term is nearly over and that Christmas is almost here! We have been very busy in school the last few weeks practising for our Christmas show and learning lots of songs. We are looking forward to our final week in school which will be filled with lot of fun activities including Christmas Party Day.
In the New Year we will be starting our new topic titled 'What is it like in China?'. This is a geography focussed topic where we will be comparing China to Radcliffe, learning how to use maps and learning lots of interesting facts about China. We have attached the topic web below so you can see what else we will be looking at in this topic.
Alongside our topic we will also be completing daily spelling, punctuation and grammar lessons as well as writing and number sessions. We will also be continuing to do outdoor PE on a Monday when the children will need to come in wearing their PE kits. Reading books will be sent home on a Monday and then we will collect all reading books in on a Thursday to allow them to stand untouched for 72 hours before sending different books home.
As always if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Year 2 team.
Best wishes,
Miss Cotton and Mrs Smith
