All children in reception (FS2), year 1 and year 2 in state-funded schools are now entitled to free school meals.
Our school dinners are prepared and cooked by our fantastic kitchen staff, on site in our school kitchen. All of the meat used in Nottinghamshire County Council school meals is provided fresh by local butcher, Mike Maloney. A vegetarian option is also available for those children who require it, just speak to one of the lovely ladies in the office and they will update your child’s information. We can also cater for children with special dietary needs or allergies. We aim to ensure that all children have access to healthy school meals regardless of any special requirements.
All of the Nottinghamshire County Council menus fully comply with food standards on nutrition and portion size. They contain at least two portions of fruit or vegetables per meal and every meal is served with vegetables and/or salad as standard.
Menu change
We have listened to the children and have removed ‘Porkies’ from the menu and replaced them with sausages.
We have also removed Lasagne and replaced it with Spaghetti Bolognese.
Party in the Playground
On our last day of this term, Friday 27th May, we will be inviting all the children to come to a Jubilee themed lunch on the school field (weather permitting)! Please send a picnic blanket on the day if you have one.
See attached themed dinner menu for the day!
