Our School
Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery school was built in the 1950s and currently has 6 classrooms, and a purpose built Foundation Stage Unit comprising of Foundation Stage 2 and a separate Nursery.
We also have an Out of School club that covers the age range of 3 - 11 year olds with separate facilities for 3-5 year olds available. This wrap around care has been invaluable to parents within the community.
We run a holiday club where a different theme is chosen that supports creativity but most importantly that the children attending have fun and spend time with their friends.
The Nursery has a lovely outside play area, which the children use on a daily basis, regardless of the weather! It offers our children an exciting and colourful extension to their indoor facilities and numerous outdoor learning opportunities.
Our 90 place Foundation Stage 2 unit offers the children the opportunity to continue to learn through play, whilst taking their first steps on the academic ladder. It offers a well-stocked indoor and outdoor facility and the children thoroughly enjoy playing on the trim trail and playing in the mud kitchens.
The main school building consists of 6 Key Stage 1 classrooms and the interior of our school is cheerful and vibrant and will give you some excellent examples of the range of activities the children experience on a daily basis.
Our outside play area includes a playground, which has a trim trail, climbing frame, basketball nets, pirate ship and a field with trees. There are also places where children can sit and talk. We have a small wildlife garden, which is used for a wide range of outdoor learning activities.
