Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery school was built in the 1950s and currently has 6 classrooms, and a purpose built Foundation Stage Unit comprising of Foundation Stage 2 and a separate Nursery.
We also have an Out Of School Club (OOSC) that covers the age range of 3 - 11 year olds with separate facilities for 3-5 year olds available. This wrap around care has been invaluable to parents within the community.
We host a holiday club on our site for 3-11 year olds, run by Rattle and Roll Performance (Ofsted Outstanding). Each day is action packed and fun filled with lots of different activities. Activities include dance, yoga, drama, tag rugby, dodgeball, cricket, rounders, singing, crafts, art and much much more. Our clubs have a particular focus on team work, confidence building and wellbeing. Funded places available, and childcare vouchers accepted.
The Nursery has a lovely outside play area, with some cover, which the children use on a daily basis, regardless of the weather! It offers our children an exciting and colourful extension to their indoor facilities and numerous outdoor learning opportunities.
Our 90 place Foundation Stage 2 unit offers the children the opportunity to continue to learn through play, whilst taking their first steps on the academic ladder. It offers a well-stocked indoor and outdoor facility and the children thoroughly enjoy playing on the trim trail, apparatus and playing in the mud kitchens.
The main school building consists of 6 Key Stage 1 classrooms and the interior of our school is cheerful and vibrant and will give you some excellent examples of the range of activities the children experience on a daily basis.
Our outside play area includes a playground, which has a trim trail, climbing frame, basketball nets, pirate ship and a field with trees. There are also places where children can sit and talk. We have a small wildlife garden, which is used for a wide range of outdoor learning activities. You can see pictures of our latest updates in the 'Latest News' section of the website.
