Uniform
Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School - Uniform Policy
At Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School we expect all children in fulltime education to come to school wearing the appropriate school colours in the form of our school uniform. Our Nursery unit are not expected to wear a school uniform, but we do ask the clothes are suitable and practical for Nursery sessions.
You will find the uniform with the school logo through, KIT OUT CLOTHING, alternatively you can purchase plain uniform in our school colours which are red and grey/black. We understand children have sensory needs and they should feel comfortable every day. We are aware of the cost-of-living crisis therefore we are happy for your child to wear uniform in the school colours from supermarkets without the logo too.
Orders can be placed directly by contacting Kit Out on 07725656857 or completing the order form and emailing it to debs@kitoutclothing.co.uk / sales@kitoutclothing.co.uk
Orders can then be collected from Burley’s on main road in Radcliffe on Trent (centre of the village).
Our PTA (RAINS) hold quality second hand uniform sales throughout the year on site, where you can get quality nearly new uniform from as little as 50p.
Wearing a school uniform as a collective can have a key role in:
- Promoting the ethos of our school
- Providing a sense of belonging and identity
- Setting an appropriate tone for education
We recognise that by creating a common identity amongst our pupils, regardless of background, a school uniform can act as a social leveller. It can reduce bullying and peer pressure to wear the latest fashions or other expensive clothes.
P.E. Kit
For the Autumn Term, PE kit will not be required. The children will remain in their school uniform and remove socks and shoes for indoor PE. Children with long hair will need to tie back during PE lessons.
Forest School - “There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing”
Forest school is about connecting children to nature, providing a setting for their innate curiosity to thrive. Activities can include den building, knot work, fire lighting, tool work, wildlife identification, exploration activities and campfires! Children will need to come into school wearing their school uniform and bring clothes with them to change into at school weather dependant. e.g. wellies and coats with hood on rainy days.
