Welcome to Year 2!

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you all had a wonderful half term break and are ready for another exciting term of learning in Year 2. 

This half term, our topic question is "What was school like in Victorian times?"

We will be taking a journey back in time to discover what life was like for children in Victorian schools. The children will explore the differences and similarities between schools then and now, learning about Victorian classrooms, school rules, lessons and daily routines. Through stories, artefacts and role-play activities, they will develop their understanding of how education has changed over the years and what it might have felt like to be a child in Victorian Radcliffe.

Reading Folders

Please ensure your child brings their reading folder to school everyday.

PE 

No PE kit is required for PE.

Owl class have PE on Monday afternoon.

Kingfisher Class have PE on Tuesday afternoon

Forest School

Children will need:

• Wellies
• Waterproof clothing

for Forest School, as we will be outside in all weathers.

As a Year 2 team, we believe the children are future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside and we look forward to working together to make this a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter and new experiences.
