Radcliffe on Trent Out of School Club ‘OOSC’/ Wraparound care information for parents

OOSC offers before and after school care for children who attend Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery school and/or Radcliffe on Trent Junior School. The OSSC team provide a range of interesting and varied activities for the children.

We also work in partnership with Rattle and Roll Performance who offer holiday clubs on our premises, ensuring we are able to offer a full wraparound service all year round. For information on holiday club, please look at the holiday club tab (or scroll to the bottom of this page for the link).

The OOSC have a dedicated team who are employed by Radcliffe on Trent Infant and Nursery School.

We ensure that we adhere to all relevant guidelines for qualifications, experience and ratios required by our staff to run a successful and effective club.

Age appropriate activities will be planned for each group, ensuring a fun, active and creative environment for all. We have qualified Early Years members of staff within our OOSC team.

Times

The breakfast club is open from 7.30am until 8.50am. Please note the last breakfast is served at 8.15am. The Junior school children are walked across to the Junior school at 8.30am, where staff stay with them in the playground until the bell goes.

The after school club runs from 3.15pm – 6.00pm. Junior school children are collected from the Junior school by OOSC staff and are walked across to the Infant school. Infant school children are taken to OOSC by teachers/TA’s who are in their classrooms.

After school club offers a light snack for the children (see menu) which rotates on a rolling 3 week basis. Our staff hold food hygiene qualifications and allergy awareness certificates. Please keep us up to date with any allergies and intolerances.

Charges

OOSC breakfast club charge is £6.50 (regardless of how long your child stays)

OSSC after school club charge is £8.50 (regardless of how long your child stays)

OOSC closes promptly at 6.00pm. If you are late picking up your child/ren we will have to charge as follows:-

6.00pm - 6.15pm - £8.50

6.15pm - 6.30pm - £8.50

For avoidance of doubt, a fee of £8.50 for every 15 minutes late be charged.

These additional charges cover the cost of staff and overtime payments. This will be charged per child not per family.

OSSC will operate a 3 strikes rule per month, this means that should you pick up late 3 times or more per month, OOSC reserve the right to refuse access to the club for the following month.

If you are aware that you are going to be late due to unforeseen circumstances, kindly telephone OOSC to let them know. In the event that OOSC are not able to make contact with parent/carers, we will have no alternative to but to follow the safeguarding protocol. Should there be no communication/OOSC unable to contact we will follow safeguarding protcol

If you would like to swap or change a session, providing we have availability and have received 48 hours’ notice, where possible we will accommodate this.

Child/ren not attending

If your child/ren are unwell or not attending club, please let OOSC know via email NOT verbally to staff members as soon as possible.

It is not the Infant or Junior school's responsibility to inform OOSC about your child’s absence.

Please note that bookings cancelled with a 48 hour notice period will receive a refund on account. After that timescale no refunds can be given.

How to Book

OOSC uses an online booking and payment system called SchoolsBuddy.

In order for you to be added to SchoolsBuddy you will need to contact outofschool@rotins.notts.sch.uk

so that the club coordinator can add you to the system.

Bookings can then be accessed and booked with either an immediate cash payment or a childcare voucher payment. We accept all voucher types.

Please note that we do operate a booking cut off system. All bookings must be made through SchoolsBuddy 48 hours in advance, this ensures that we have the correct staffing levels and food for those sessions.

If your child/ren are not booked into a session we will not be able to accommodate them (unless in emergency circumstances).

OOSC operate a behaviour agreement which is sent via email to each new parent prior to their child attending club.

Please do not drive up the school drive unless you have been given permission i.e medical emergency.
